The staff at Avant is extremely helpful and great to work with. The amenities are excellent. The renovated suites are clean and bright. Great location close to many schools. No mandatory meal plan which suited our situation.

My time living at Avant was definitely unforgettable. I moved in when the units were freshly renovated with brand new furnitures in August 2020. The building is very student friendly with many amenities and the location is perfect for TMU or even UofT students. The staff and residents are also very friendly, there’s a sense of community here and I have made many great friends! Would highly recommend to any students studying in downtown Toronto 🙂

As an international students it was very important for me to feel at home. Avant did just that for me. Peter and Tanyura are so helpful and everyone in the building is so welcoming. The view for the room is just another plus❤️❤️

It’s been great living here at Avant so far! Tanyura, Amanda, Peter, Thais, and Miguel really go out of their way to make us feel welcomed and heard. They make sure to hear our opinions and thoughts on how to make our living better.In the past couple months, the managers have hosted countless events for us to get to know each other (i.e. brunches, outings, meet and greet, halloween party), which I think is above and beyond.The amenities are great. Building comes with a study lounge, cafe lounge, game room, and gym. These rooms are almost always clean and rarely crowded. The study lounge is almost always empty.Also, the location is perfect for Ryerson students. Avant is steps away and I can literally see Kerr Hall from my window! The rooms are also a lot bigger than I expected compared to the residence buildings on campus.Only thing I would suggest is getting a dehumidifier during the summer because the rooms tend to get stuffy. Also, the heaters could be improved (always having to wear a sweatshirt at night).Overall, I would recommend this place to students.

I have loved my time living at Avant !With the newly renovated apartments, the space is inviting and with the prime downtown location is accessible to nearly everything.The community aspect has been an amazing transition to living on my own on the city. I have connected with many like minded students and been able to create lasting friendships with people in this building.Peter, Amanda, Tanyura and Michael have gone above and beyond for the residence and continue to wow me with events and the personal connection they make with their residents.
